Review and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings to identify BEMS device locations and installation requirements. Support cable containment design, including selecting CMS trunking sizes, planning BEMS cable routes and producing cable schedules. Coordinate with electrical and mechanical teams both on site and during design meetings. Raise, manage and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs). Check that sensors are correctly specified for their intended applications, including temperature, pressure, flow and CO monitoring. Understand how sensors should be mounted on pipework, ductwork, AHUs, chillers and other building services equipment. Understand basic BEMS outstation installation requirements, including power supplies, communications, I/O wiring, enclosure types and environmental constraints.
